Well I have been trying to figure out the name of this movie for years. Its about bloody time. The question I have is this

I always thought it was a genie instead of a leprecan (forgive spelling) or am I thinking of another movie?

Here is what I remember. A nerd finds a genie and she falls in love with him but he is in ove with someone else. Then I remember a slumber party scene where the girls are making dirty phone calls to guys. And the last thing I remember is some swordsman saving them in the end. Am I thinking of two different movies or do I have some wires crossed. Please someone help me!!!!!!

Well sorry take up space i figured it out, I did have my wires crossed they actually did a remake of this in 1995 called Wish Me Luck. So cancel that funeral.

Glad you found the movie that you were looking for. Yes they had a couple of movies like that. One was called Wish Me Luck and another one I cannot remember the name of it. Ami Dolenz is in Wish Me Luck I believe but the actor who was a male genie was in a TV show in the late 90's called "The Adventures of Sinbad."

I just thought that I would let you know about it.

The original title of this film was "Wish Me Luck", but they changed it after filming - on the DVD they talk about it.
