We actually get to see The Gate...

and it looks like a desert. With no demons. And some sort of stone altar and a chimney producing smoke.

It would have been awesome to see the Gate with a bunch of minions running around and other kinds of demons too. Maybe even some of them with wings and everything is just chaos and darkness but no instead we get a desolate desert with some rocks and stone and then a stone staircase. How lame.

We don't know how big that desert is or how far it goes. It could go one forever and be loaded with creautres beyond the most eldritch of nightmares, just where they happened to be in the movie was vacant.

Ok but they should have showed that. I think that would have saved this movie...its finale was just plain awful. They could have had an array of creatures with all the neat claymation effects...low budget I guess. This movie lakced the imagination the first one had. The only thing I like about it was that it wasn't claustrophobic like the first i.e. taking place in one setting. They had many different settings which was a huge change from the first.

I actually really liked it. But I do see what you are saying. I suppose budget restraints had a part in that...

I'm just a guy that likes horror flicks.
