Regarding the Ending - Anyone Watch Past the Credits?

I just watched this film again for the first time in 20+ years last night.

The ending was completely insane, but for whatever reason I kind of liked it.

Anyway, for whatever reason, I kept watching past the final, end credits, just to see if they'd come back and do anything (a lot of movies were doing that back then).

And guess what... The Hamster Survived Too.

It crawls out of the coffin (final scene, after credit roll) and escapes to safety.

So... um... everyone made it.

I see it's even mentioned here in the 'Crazy Credits' section.

Hahaha I have to go back and watch just to see the hamster!

I remember renting this several years ago when video stores were all the rage (miss those days) and watching past the end credits only to see that the hamster, too, came back to life. I was very pleased with that. I guess they took a cue from the first movie in which everyone who was thought dead survives at the end, even the dog.

I literally am a gigantic gate fan the first is my favorite horror movie of all time and the sequel i do watch a few times a year and just recently I left the credits going but this was an amazon prime video crystal clear quality which i'm not used to and i saw the hamster escape the coffin in all the years i've watched it i've never seen that lol weird!.... and the ending sort of ruins it for me way too cheery and a hollywood happy ending imo
