Prof. Fleeber

I thought all the scenes with Fleeber were tremendously funny. I read once where the screenwriter must have used Fleeber's character to get revenge on the professors he had in film school. But any of us who have spent a lot of time in higher education can recognize the same (obnoxious, vain, superficial, cowardly, inconsiderate) traits in some professors we've had.
That whole scene in the classroom is especially clever.

I agree, that guy was the ultimate professor from hell. I loved that he dubbed all the films they watched in class. I also enjoyed when he tells Matt Broderick that he can't POSSIBLY pass the class without the works written by Fleeber.

I hated when professors made me buy books they had written.

Look around the IMDB message boards. It's like 80% of the people who post on these boards took Fleeber's class.

My "#3" key is broken so I'm putting one here so i can cut & paste with it.

"Oh you just want to see Clark Kellogg for a second"?

That scene cracks me up every time, and his sucking up to meet Jimmy The Toucan afterward.

"Oh, they're not to be thought of as my books, Mr. Kellogg. They are required and essential reading! As are the dozen other volumes which you must own, which will cost you upwards of seven hundred dollars."

Protovision... I have you now!
