Love that futuristic Sports Car!

I wonder if anyone has any high-quality photos of that futuristic custom-built Corvette-like car used in this movie? Anyone have details of its creation and running gear, and working components? Where is the car now? Is it in a museum or in a private collector's hands? I would love to see pictures of it. Also, does anyone know how it came to be chosen to appear in this movie? Who built it?

The car has been identified as a 1988 ItalDesign Aztek Sports car. Thanks so much for that info! Now I know where to look for more info on the car.

the only downside is that it's pretty near impossible to neck at the drive-in with that thing.
