wouldn't he be dead

when he takes the power drill to his head towards the beginning of the movie, wouldn't that've killed him?

Not neccesarily. He wouldn't be the first to voluntarily put a hole into his head - see http://www.trepan.com.
(The sinus headache I have right now makes that *almost* seem like a good idea.)

He's supposed to be a genious of anatomy, and some whacko sceintists used to actualy beleive that a hole in the right spot of the brain would make you smarter. It's even refrenced in Ghostbusters! But youd have to be mad to try it.

Technically, a lawnmower cannot chop a person into hundreds of pieces within seconds, a person cannot rebuild a girl out of the parts of dead hookers, crack cocaine does not cause people (or guinea pigs) to spontaneously combust, and most pimps are not named Zorro.

That power drill, though... you'd think that might have caused a little bleeding, at the very least.

reply

Actually the power drill to the head is a real phenomenon. Look up Trepanantion. Also, Henenlotter's Brain Damage's ending can also be looked at as Trepanation also.

most pimps r not named zorro? huh?

haha yes I thought of ghostbusters as well when murray says to egon "remember that time when you tried to drill a hole through your head, remember that?" "that would have worked if you hadn't stopped me".

Realism, Remakes and Unnecessary Sequels are ruining movies!

reply

Jeffery was a mad scientist and knew how the body worked. Besides a little jilt he'd be tip top.
