I found and bought this tape at local video store

Much to my surprise this was in the bargain bin/previously viewed section of my local video store. I remember seeing this movie when I was younger and it is as described - a sleeper. Surprisingly scary (the ghost - "Evelyn" - is gorgeous) and unexpectedly sentimental at the end. If you can find it, buy it.

*Spoilers*

I think I've seen this movie but I'm not sure. Is it the one where he smashes down the wall of his house after hearing voices. Because if it is that one yeah I've seen it I thought the female ghost was quite attractive.

But there's this real creepy scene, the ghost wants the guy to kill himself so they can can be together in the after life. The guy adopts a kitten and he comes home one night and goes up to the bathroom and the kitten is dead in the bathtub. The guy look's out the window and the female ghost is standing on the road holding the kitten.

That's the one. The Ghost "Evelyn" is superhot (with plenty of nudity on her part as well - I wish she had done more movies) but the scenes are shot in such a way that they do bring a certain chill regardless of the nudity. The lighting that was used was eerie illuminating Blair Parker's face and eyes to the point where you do beleive she is a ghost. I recommend you buy it for a late night chill. And I see now that it is available at Amazon which it was not when I originally posted this thread.

The one scene where Evelyn is in the basement on the floor moaning (and looking all nasty) scared the hell out of me when I was like 6. I haven't watched that movie since. I would like to see it now.

I too own a used VHS copy of this fine and compelling little horror ghost story sleeper. I keep hoping it would come out on DVD already.

I found a copy at the Goodwill Store today for $1.75. Bought it just to see a 'younger Terry" and he has hair!

Gee this movie was 17 years before he got LOST

Yeah, but I'm not so sure it was REAL hair! LOL Apparently he's been balding since his 20s.

One way or the other, he looked really hot in this movie.

better sorry than safe
