Uh, I thought it was a good movie

when I was 12. Haven't seen it since, but I know that some woman saves her tin foil and her pop cans for nickles!

I've got it on DVD!
A classic!

I agree. My two sisters and I used to watch it all the time when we were younger and really liked it. I figured it would not be rated very high on the IMDB but didn't expect a 2.0.

I think this is the worst movie I've ever seen, and I like cheesy movies....

I was 7 or 8 when I watched this. it was on pay per view so I'd watch it over and over again. It may be corny now but I really enjoyed it. I should go netflix it or something.

i first saw this movie when i was like 9 or so on Primestar cable in Atlanta, GA... It was the first movie I recorded on my own (without my mother's help)... I loved it then a lot... Its so 80's/early 90's with everyone's clothing and appearance, and dialog too, (ya know before everyone got all grungy lookin) and for then could have fit in well with the rest of the night time line up on the USA Network... I still love it for nostalgic reasons but also just because I like it... Movies don't need to make perfect sense and have a perfect score on all fronts in order to be at least entertaining..

This is one of my favorite 80's movies, not because it's a masterpiece on any level, but because it's cheesy fun and I like the dancing. And of course, because Laura Harring is insanely lovely and charismatic.

I was about 11 when I first saw this on The Movie Channel ( I think in 91). The crush I developed for Nisa must be the strongest ever, because I just watched a clip on YouTube and sighed. -sigh-

I was probably 9 or 10 when I first saw this movie. My then best friend and I watched this as faithfully as we watched 'Dirty Dancing', on and off for years! It was the best movie back then, and I've seen it once maybe 2 years ago. This movie just brought back so many good memories for me. Even though the storyline wasn't strong, there's just no denying that Nisa and Jason's love affair are what made this film so memorable.
The Lamba dancing wasn't that bad either. :)

This movie came out when I was 8 - and I watched it over and over. I LOVED IT. haha. I refuse to watch it now, I don't want to ruin it. lol.

My husband has never seen it, but he randomly hums the lambada tune a few times a week, so I think of the movie often!

Glad I'm not the only one who loved this flick. :-P
