This movie was not realistic at all

None of this occurred and even if it did there would be no way it would play out the way it did in the film. Hollywood should stick to what they know, like holding fund raisers and diddling small boys.

Sound advice. YOU should take it.

None of this occurred

It never claimed to be a true story and it does not have to be a true story to be realistic.

Why blame Hollywood? This was a book written by a Naval Aviator that had flown A-6s in combat over Vietnam. The movie is a very close adaptation in fact, one of the closest this genre has ever produced. Coonts' book was initially published by the USNI Press, a prestigious military organization that doesn't throw it weight behind many stories but it did for this one.

The main story in the movie can be indirectly linked to General John LaVelle. LaVelle's acts were at a much higher level and not specific to 1 mission. The involvement of support staff and use of intelligence covered up by Washington is again linked to things that really did happen, though on a much larger scale.

You are taking a dump and they call GQ do you pinch it off or finish your business?
