I love this movie

I am the child of baby boomers. They weren't necessarily "hippies" (were there hippies in Oklahoma), but gravitated a little bit more to that culture. They were anti-war. However, my dad is handicapped, so he wasn't eligible for the draft. They had a lot of friends that fought and died there.

When I was a teenager and in my early 20's, I went through a phase where I thought the 60's generation was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. Me and my friend's considered ourselve retro hippies. We dressed the part, listened to the music, and tried to indulge as they did.

What lead me to watch this movie is that it's about the 60's and it's effect today. Plus it is HILARIOUS! Great music, great themes, and great acting.

I've seen this movie about a gazillion times...and plan on seeing it a gazillion more.

Born in the mid '60s, I'm a little bit hippie in my ideals, and I just introduced my teen children to this great film. I don't think the themes resonated for my kids as they did with me when I first saw the movie twenty-five years ago - but the kids enjoyed it. And I'm sure they feel that Flashback has some real meaning for their old man.

My mom (who passed away at the end of July) was a flower child, much like the Carol Kane character in this film (fittingly, mom's name was also Carol). I like this film a lot, I think it has a ton of heart, and a special meaning to me. I love what happened with the Buckner & Walker characters; wow, what a journey they had, and they both ended up "Free" in their own ways.
