The movie Fear

Was this a movie that is only on tv? Or can you purchase it? Does anyone know where I could buy this movie?

Can you tell me is there a house of mirrors in this movie? I just saw a trailer for Final Destination 3 which is set in a fairground, it reminded me of a film I saw and loved years ago so came on here to see what it was. I'm sure it was this one. All I can remember is a house of mirrors at the end.

Btw Romany (beautiful name) Are you offering to sell a copy of the film? I'm sorry if I've taken you up wrong, just thought I'd ask

reply

I agree. I saw it when I was a teenager and it scared the sh*t outta me. I'd close my eyes at night and see that crazy lunatics face, but when I'd open my eyes I'd see those bloody words on the wall. Man, this movies messed with my head for weeks lol. I'd love to get my hands on it again now, as an adult. Movies don't scare me anymore.

Man, that's sad...
I'm almost 33 years old and I still can get quite a rush from a good scary movie.

Definately. It just got released not that long ago with the movie "Parents", as one of those double features. Not overly available, but its on amazon, and most good stores can order it in.

reply

I just bought it with Parents at walmart for 5.50.

Kind of weird that they would only release this as a double feature and not as a single too.

I originally saw this in the theater and have been waiting for this to come out on DVD.

I guess I'll have to keep an eye out for it at Wal-mart.

reply

I bought the double feature DVD, includes PARENTS. I got it with VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED remake on DVD. All three movies cost me 5 bucks at Wal-mart.

This isn't too bad a movie actually. I was trying to remember where I saw the star, the weird girl from THE BREAKFAST CLUB.

It's a bit strange, as it's out in most European countries as a single with the same coverart used on the American double with Fear (the original poster art).

I don't beleive it's available on DVD. I just purchase a copy through Amazon
on VHS. I don't remember if it was ever given a theatrical release. I recall
it playing on HBO alot in the early 1990's.

There's a Region 1 double feature DVD from Lions Gate.

I got the "Red Carpet Double Feature" of Fear and Parents, purely for Parents.

The films are very different in tone, and who knows why they've been put together.

I haven't finished watching it, but so far it's been coasting on a knife edge between made-for-tv tedium and trashily compelling.

The lead actress's portrayal of her psychic episodes are badly over-played, and a better actress could have lifted the film a mile with a more subtle approach.

I remember the original showtime previews for this movie were pretty spooky/creepy.
