the gemini's soul at the climax of the movie

Sorry for asking alot of questions! But I really just love exorcist III legion movie. Another thought just popped into my head. After Karras was temporarily freed from the demons grip in the cell what would have happened if at that time kinderman killing him, freeing karras by killing the host body, the gemini was in another "old friends" body possessing another victim. What would happen to him. Would his spirit still be alive and continue its killing spree with the demons help again?

Possibly that could happen, but that would leave the story's climax as a failure and anti-climax, except for the one meaningful, positive point that Kinderman's bullet set Karras free.
The demon might want to continue the killing spree, because it still had maybe three more victims to claim, i.e., Kinderman himself, Julie Kinderman, Mrs. Kinderman and Grandma Kinderman. The demon/the Gemini were in fact interrupted in that very process by the intervention of Fr. Paul Morning's exorcim.
