Looking forward to Shout! Factory's release of the Director's Cut of The Exorcist III.

Agreed that the only "true, real" films are the original and Blatty's sequel.
I believe that the Boorman film deserved its Golden Turkey Award.
The Beginning was way too schlocky for me, and too theologically literal, e.g., "This is the place where Satan fell when he was cast out from heaven", etc.
Dominion, although slow, is in my view worth at least one watch - of the two prequels, Dominion seems to be the most "Blattian", with such ironic statements as "sometimes I think the best view of God is from hell" - so I cut it some slack.
Not directly in the franchise ... but The Exorcism of Emily Rose wasn't bad. The Last Exorcism was decent.
