something tells me that they need to make sequels to this film
ala a disney version of the indiana jones movies

you can have tons of disney characters from the 80's 90's and present day popping up in sequels to ducktales

there could be about over a thousand different disney characters popping up
in sequels to this movie
and the ducktales characters would be happy about it
because since it is 2008, i would imagine that if people were to make a serial of crossover movies
then people would be happy about that idea

The Uncle Scrooge pocket of the Disney Universe is the most interesting stuff Disney has in its classic lineup of characters.

Indeed, I wonder why no big-budget version of this property is in the works. People have affection for the cartoon. Kids will dig it.

They cancelled the sequels because it dissapointed at the box office. And that was while the show was still on. A sequel would gross a lot less today. Weel, there might be a chance if the upcoming revival succeeds.
