Does this film get into the darker aspects of Baum's personality?

This film was made in the classic tradition of Disney/Hallmark/Lifetime/ABC Family made for TV movies. It’s so saccharine & sugary sweet, all the life’s been drained out of it, and what we’re left with is a man too perfect for words. Heartwarming, yes. True to life? Not so much.
That all said, I STILL enjoyed this movie, the cast, production & script are all top notch.
