Awful, just awful. A mullet!?!?!?!

What were they thinking? Who would want to date someone with such a horrible mullet? I mean...come on!

reply

Okay, the movie was made in 1990. Eighties' styles were still in. At the time, mullets didn't even have a NAME, and the hairstyle was considered to be seriously cool.

That particular hairstyle was NEVER "in."

Then it's pretty amazing how many people had them! They really were considered cool until the 1990's "grunge" style came in. That, of course, looked just wonderful. (gag)

Yes it was, even Superman had a mullet

Remember that they were trying to make him look like a foreigner--so maybe a "unique" look BASED on the mullet was what they were reaching for in sort of a movie "search for realistic feel" kind of way?

I'll admit, I'm reaching here! My natural tendency to give people the benefit of the doubt, I guess. It was a pretty bad "Do"--looked more like a "Don't!" LoL

There WERE people in the 80's who looked good with mullets, though...

The "mullet" will come back in style, belive me. Why? Because basically *everything* we thought was silly from the 60's and 70's have also come back in style. Fashion-designers have enormous trouble coming up with new stuff, so they always borrow from the past.

There is no question that characters like Rambo and MacGyver looked great, and wouldn't have been the same without the hair.

Lobo would have looked better if he just had long hair, without the business in the front look. But he still looked very cool.

reply

What is there of George Michael in his look? The only thing of BRC is the hair and look. So maybe his child alone.

MacGyver comes to mind.
