Death of St. in Bohemia...extrordin ary

As a student currently studying film in Prague it is impossible not to hear Svankmajer's name in class. Since Ive been here I have been intrigued by Svankmajer's films, and have been watching many.

The Death of Stalin in Bohemia(1990) seems to me one of his most politically driven movies. Or possibly, most politically directed film. I find it fascinating how he combines his start/stop animation with real time footage(as in most of his films) This film feels really long. Since it requires your complete attention and focus the whole time you feel like you have watched an entire full length movie. Jan does a great job telling his story quick and conceisly(spelling?)

If you like Svankmajer you will definatly like this one too.
