Van Dammage At Its Best!

This film is fantastic despite the label of a 1990 release this has been well and truly tarnished with the 80’s action brush. Cynthia Gibb starts off as a bit of rough but Van Damme soon sorts out that wedge hairspray style, gives her a good seeing to in a caravan and releases the potential of a very fit chick!

Then we have the bad guy... The Sandman who is an unstoppable badass mofo, who I personally rank up alongside Tong Po as one of best bad guys Van Damme have ever faced (Bolo Yeung being number one of course).

Also Van Damme’s prison outfit rocks. Bouffant hair, tight jeans, sprayed on shirt with the sleeves rolled up just giving his biceps enough room to flex. Any other mortal in that situation would be the prison bitch condemned to a life of picking up soap in the shower, and loose change in the wash room. Not Van Damme within a matter of moments of being asked to get down on his hands and knees he asserts his authority on peep squeak smashing him up against the cell wall thus securing his place as then manliest man in Jail 1990 competition.

Honestly this film is great best £12.99 I ever spent!

I wholeheartedly agree - this is my favourite movie ever.

I agree. I like the scene where Van Damme kicks that guy in the cafeteria, who is picking on Van Damme's friend.

That is definitely a damaging kick!!!!

Wonderful film. Definitely Van Damme doing what he does best. I like him whatever he does, sometimes he doesn't get the best of scripts but his movies are worth seeing nevertheless. I have seen some get knocked that are fabulous. Desert Heat is one of my favourites (AKA Inferno) and In Hell is amazing.
