Those Who watch this

Does anyone who watches this movie get reminded of how much they like nascar?(if you like nascar that is)

I do quite a bit. I'm still new to the NASCAR world, and I know Days of Thunder exhaggerates a few things (what film doesn't?), but I enjoy both the sport and this film.

Don't you just hate it when people say this is a sport for rednecks and in-breds? There's plenty of people in the north that like this sport people!

Wanna trade houses? :-D J/k. Still, you're damn lucky! I don't live near any Speedways as far as I know. Hopefully, someday I'll get to attend a race and see it in all it's true glory.

I think its quite sad that almost no racing movie takes the time to do some research about the sport before they shoot. In DoT or Driven for example there are so many errors during all racing sequences it just gets silly. During one of the races in DoT you could probably find about 10-20 rule/realism-related errors in just 2-5 minutes.

Racing can be quite dramatic so why they do all this crap is beyond me

I love NASCAR I only followed 2 drivers....The King, and Rusty Wallace. Since Rusty Retired, I just watch it for the racing. And I used to live 4 miles from the California Speedway. I was there when they broke ground. I could open my front door and listen to the race and watch it on TV at the same time.....

I am an hour away from Dover and go to every June Dover race. I am also 3 hours from Richmond and Poconos. I live in Baltimore and am a huge fan.

This film is pretty good, but watching an actual real nascar race is one of the most boring things known to man!
In fact, I'd rather fly a cargo plane full of rubber dogsh*t out of hong kong...

Wanna talk anout living close to a track, I live 15 miles from Atlanta Motor Speedway, I grew up going to everything at the track. It was a great NASCAR upbringing. I'm not bragging, just informing. When you live in a communtity with a major track, especially here in the south, it's a huge deal. We have legends racing on Thursday's, for the last 2 years we've had Friday Night Drags where local drag racers, with some really impressive drag cars, drag race down Pit Road. There are concerts, and a ton of other events that are held there. Actually this coming Friday night after Qualifying they are goin to have the 2007 finale of Friday Night Drags. Gotta Love NASCAR...
