dirty face
why was cruise' face always so dirty at the end of a race--is it just soot/exhuast from all the cars? do race car drivers all have cancer from that (assuming they aren't all dead from accidents)???
shareYou don't see drivers nowadays with dirty faces after a race because full helmets are now required. And yes it is a movie so the dirt was quite exaggerated, but during the period this is based yes there was some dirt and rubber residue and the like that would get on the drivers. Afterall the side windows are just safety nets...
shareYeah i was wondering about that too, the open windows would probably suck the dirt into the car, made me wonder if it is at all healthy to have a face full of fumes and dirt. Especially when you consider your breathing that stuff in every race, i'd like to know if anyone has ever suffered from lung illnesses from it.
