A Nod to Stroker Ace...

In the Burt Reynolds movie "Stroker Ace" from 1983, there are two different moments where Aubrey James (Stroker's racing nemesis) smashes into Harry P. Gant, causing him to spin off the track.

Gant, of course, is actually driving the green and white themed Skoal Bandit car sponsored by Burt Reynolds and Hal Needham.

And then in "Days of Thunder", Russ Wheeler (Cole's racing nemesis) either smashes into Gant, or smashes into Cole causing Cole to smash into Gant, once again causing the Skoal Bandit car to spin off the track.

Poor Harry!
