I want to make a DARKMAN fan film

This project has been in my head for a while... I would like to do a fan film of Darkman, similar to the sequels but much more action-oriented. It would start with a prologue like the sequels (I love the narration and use of tag lines such as "crime has a new enemy, and justice has a brand new face"). I am thinking the film would be about 10-15 minutes long. I am currently looking for ways to finance the project, but I'd like to know if people would be interested in seeing this. I'm probably going to make it anyway, but if anyone would like to invest money in this, it would be awesome.

I say make it independent and put it on Youtube, as a way of showing people just what you could do if you had more funding, and then include a link to a donation page or something similar.
Hell if you want help writing it, just let me know and I'll get involved. I love 'Darkman', I'd love to work on a version of it, even if it was unpaid work
