I just heard from Optimum!
Mikey Ellis, the Senior Product Manager at Optimum just answered my e-mail within an hour or so and said they hope to release "Daddy Nostalgie" next year. More news later this year. Better than never!

That's great! I'll treasure the Studio Canal DVD until then (and try to understand the scenes in French).
sharethat French dvd is good aside from missing subs. Optimum will obviously release the dvd using that master but with them. Our contacts:

from what I've read a few times on here, I wouldn't ask Emilie as people who have done are having a long wait for a reply. I spoke to Mylene once and she was very helpful, and somone here said Mikey has said it should be out next year so that's something. But all Optimum have to do is set the English subtitles on the Canal dvd master and I'm sure that they could squeeze that in before Christmas this year! Now wouldn't that be a joy?
shareit certainly would, Tully and I believe that if Optimum have around 6 months ahead of them, they can have the DVD ready for UK release by the end of 2009 (maybe Xmas).

I got an e-mail from Mikey at optimum too...........it should be out next year! That could be Jan or Feb and we are half way through this year.
