The Square teens in this were so hypocritical


They committed acts of vandalism and brawling all the while calling the Drapes hoodlums and degenerates. The Square were the real criminals of this movie.

it was a running theme throughout Waters' career - that the so-called fine, upstanding characters were really the bad guys and the ones you thought were bad people were really the good-guys. In Serial Mom, the cops and church-goers were the bad guys and Beverly Sutphin was the hero. She had very valid reasons for doing what she did, especially with the white shoes.

I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked.
