All I know so far is that it will be on CBS in early 2007

This isn't a show, it's a short film.

It became a show in 2003. http://imdb.com/title/tt0324742/
However, this is the short.

Yes it will air on June 4th (next Monday) at 8pm on CBS . . a new TV series based on this animated short that won the Oscar . . and my favorite animated short!

I've seen some commercials for it and I think it's lost its charm a bit since it's not in British, but in American English (I know that sounds funny, but I loved the orignal short with the British accents).

Here's the link to the show on CBS: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/creature_comforts/

I agree!!!!!! It just lost something in the characters.....

I gave it another shot tonight . . . and it just isn't interesting or sweet like the original. I think they needed to keep the idea that these are animals and not humans. It's just not that funny to me.

Yes I know they are animals .. that's what they said, but the way the show was written is this . . they took recorded conversations amongst humans and animated the animals with their voices. Sometimes it works, but most of the time it just fails in my opinion. The original animated short of Creature Comforts was animals talking about life at the zoo . . not sex and relationships, etc. etc. . .

Our humor is very different, however, I'm not sure why that would make Americans dopey.

Explain please....

I guess it could be adapted into a U.S. show as it is not something you can copy outright, the guys who'd adapt this show would have to think of their own original questions to ask the public and think of something that is relevant to the U.S.
The only thing I would say is that we Brits do know how to make fun of ourselves, where creature comforts becomes successful is with poingiant debates about major things like the queen, and silly things like looking at yourself in the mirror. But we know how to highlight the nutters and exploit them for our entertainment, everyone one from all walks of life are included in this. But then i'm sure that you'll adapt it to your own type of humour to make it funny for yourselves, which is the good thing about this show and makes it so adaptable, it's not meant to be recieved internationally, but only nationally.
