Hey i was wondering if anyone could tell me what movie it was that came out about the same time as this movie, but it was set in an apocolyptic world like "Road Runner". The only scene i can remember from the movie was where they have a guy on a spinning knife throwing table, and they put a paper sack over his head and throw knives at him until the leader hit him in his heart does anybody know the name of that movie?

I think you meant like "Road Warrior", not "Road Runner". But you may be thinking of Robot Jox or Robot Wars.

Yeah i meant "Road Warrior", but i don't think thats it because i dont remember no giant robots in it. The movie was just like "Road Warrior", and the only thing i remember was the exacution scene with the paper bag over the guys head.

It'a a post-apocalyptic satire about a guy (David Andrews) searching for a replacement for his android wife, with the help of zone tracker Melanie Griffith. The scene you're describing involves the great Tim Thomerson, who puts a paper bag with a target on it over some guy's head and shoots an arrow right into the bullseye. Tim Thomerson, as always, has all the best lines in this movie. I won't spoil them for you here. Get this cult classic on DVD. It's available.

for the longest time that was the only scene I remembered from that movie aswell. hehe. finally ran into it by accident through Miracle Mile (by the same director).

now i need help from anyone that knows - basically i recall seeing a film as a kid that from what i remember was a similar film to this and robot jox. the film centred around a teenage guy that drives a beat up old civic and his girlfriend, with a remote controlled/miniature robot in it. i dont remember much more, only that i liked it at the time and wouldnt mind seeing it again to satisfy my curiosity....can anyone point me in the right direction??? :-)
