Papa Kawamura's reaction to Lily's relationship with Jack McGann

I'm sure it would have meant a lot to Lily if her father was to give her away at her wedding to Jack McGann but because of California laws back in 1936, it was never gonna happen. We all knew what Papa Kawamura was like and he would never accept Lily and Jack. Never! That was why they went to Seattle and got married there because then Papa Kawamura had to accept Lily and Jack.
