During Christmastime, the family is at home singing when they ask Dennis Quaid to sing and he does--in Japanese. At first the family is amused but then the mood turns somber. What did he sing that brought them all down? Strange that this movie doesn't have a Trivia section so can anyone help ID the song?

The song he is singing is from the samurai musical number in the movie he ran at Mr. Kawamura's theater. The song was from a normal, perhaps happier, time in their lives. With Mr. Karamura under arrest and the family facing internment, the realty returns to them.
