I think this movie is very well done. The music, they story(which is a perfect adaptation of the book), the feelings, and the cinematography is lovely. I am not sure I can compare this to Cinema Paradisio but it certainly left the same emotions after watching it.

yes its a gem of a film. And as someone who has family in provence and used to visit them every summer, I can definitely relate to Pagnol's feelings of nostalgia and fond memories that we never want to forget.
