for anyone that lives where they can deliver, you will be very lucky to get a cool Chucky steelbook edition.

the audio is :
Englisch DTS-HD 2.0 Master Audio
German DTS-HD 2.0 Master Audio

no more details known at this time.

hopefully this means that a few months later we will get a US release.

Hi Donut, I don't get it... This disc has only the uncut movie? No extras?

"The truth is that I miss you so... And I'm tired."

reply

it has the film uncut. which in Germany would mean that its not edited for explicit content. in foreign markets R-rated films tend to be cut in order to get a lower rating. thats how it was back in the day. nowadays you can for the most part find all films in their uncut versions.

as for the extras.. that hasnt been announced. so dont know what would be on it.
all that is known is that the audio is 2.0 lossless, that it will be released in a limited quantity steelbook. and itll be a 1080p transfer.

for most videophiles the fact that itll be in 1080p is what matters most.

reply

Sounds good. Let's just hope it's not just a cruel April's fool joke.

reply

Really? Most people are happy with just better picture and audio? I don't get it at all... For a film we've all seen so many times I want a little something extra for my money.

reply

no not most. videophiles are the ones who are all about the highest quality of picture and audio. especially for older films such as this.

yea its a film we have all seen many times, but we have never seen it in 1080p with a high bitrate. thats as good as seeing it in the theater if not better than its original theatrical presentation.

for those of us with high end big screen HDTVs, a DVD is horrible quality. i'd take a remastered true HD version of the film on bluray with no extras over a heavily compressed blurry mess of a DVD with a few new extras.
its all about the presentation of the film. extras are becoming less and less of a priority by studios. they arent really a big deal as they were in the early days of DVD. with bluray technology, its really all about the technical specs of the transfer.

DVD is so 2005

If only I had a region free player to get this nice lookin steel book

Still hoping for a North American release in the Fall

This movie packs a lot of early 90s goodness

Just praying that EchoBridge doesn't distribute it haha
Then we will get a cheap barebones release with a stereo track

reply

eesh. that'd be bottom of the barrel if Echo released these old Child's Play sequels

the Bride of Chucky bluray was well done. i just want there to be some effort in getting a good transfer for these sequels.
