Why did the ritual fail to possess Andy?

Chucky had a limited window to get into Andy's body. He waited too long, so by the time it came time to actually do it, he couldn't get out of the nobody. My guess is that the clock was still ticking from the last time (it was the still same body, only rebuilt).

I think the clock ran out as he was going to get Andy with Kyle in the car. When his nose starts bleeding and the cop asks him what his name is, he answers in his normal voice instead of his 'Good Guy' voice.
