Ruler scene

Apparently a doll weighing 5 pounds (rough estimate) can use a wooden stick and kill a human being. i mean a wooden ruler, do you know how weak those things are?

I know she got stabbed with children's air pump with a ridiculously sharp needle point. but seriously wont she be able to run at-least, and not sit there and take the beating?

Thats when i stopped watching

You stopped watching because of that? Really? She was most likely bleeding excessively from that stab wound and who's to say he didn't finish her off some other way off screen? It never actually showed her die so he it's safe to assume that he just continued to beat her as she bled to death.

I was with you when you started
"You stopped watching because of that?..."

and I expected you to carry on with "IT'S A SODDING DOLL COME TO LIFE AND YOU'RE WORRIED ABOUT HOW REALISTIC THE RULER SCENE WAS!?"

Seems odd to come to a film like this with any real expectations - utter nonsense, to be watched for a laugh.

Thank you!

That didn't make sense either. He stabbed her with a ball pump. How would that cause her to "bleed excessively?" I know the film alleges that it does, but that's just another example of ludicrous writing. It's equally as bad as the ruler example that the OP is complaining about. LOL!

If you actually paid attention to the scene, you notice that you never see Kettlewell actually dying from Chucky beating her with the ruler. Most likely, he strangled her off screen with the ruler after he got done beating her. Have you thought about that?
I get so tired of idiots b*tching about how you can't kill a person with a ruler even though you never see her die. If you actually see her die then I would understand people complaining about this scene.

reply

Chucky wouldn't leave a victim still alive unless he was interrupted. Unless the janitor walked in while he was beating her, he made sure she was dead before he headed back to the house.

"Without management, there is only chaos."
"Can we try the chaos thing?"

That scene really effed with me when I saw it a good few years ago.

reply

yeah should have used something heavier.
That was a heavy ruler but not good enough for this scene.

That was definitely a very stupid scene. The way it was shot & edited was stupid too. You can't even see what it supposed to be happening. All in all it's an example of highly incompetent filmmaking.
