The Nature of Magic

I watched this movie a long time ago, so I don't remember a lot about it.
From what I remember, it was pretty mediocre, except one scene stands out where the kid's grandfather (or some other old man?) was explaining to him how magic works.

From my memory, the quote goes Very Roughly like this:
"It's about the ritual. Take a lucky rabbit's foot. There's nothing lucky about a rabbit's foot; it sure didn't bring the rabbit any luck. But you kill the rabbit, you remove the paw, you dye it, you take it with you wherever you go... that's a ritual. That's got power. It's all about the ritual."

That part always stood out in my mind, and that scene alone made the movie worth watching.

If anybody out there has the movie, and can get the actual dialogue from the scene, I'd appreciate it.

If not, I guess I'll be waiting for that DVD.
