Did ya'll know that Jennifer Jason Leigh's character was pregnant and the doctor gave her an abortion? I couldn't believe that and that was the most heart-breaking part in the movie! No wonder Clint did what he did...the wife had their own child killed!

shareActually I believe that's what made him decide on the elaborate revenge. He was there, ready to just kill the both of them when he heard them talking about her pregnancy and how he (the doctor) "took care of it" for her. That's when he backed off from killing them and decided to make her suffer.

I am not sure I think she only received one abortion and that was it and in the long run she got what she deserved in the end. Which was great to see.

Not a problem! I just thought that I would let you all know because it has been quite a while since I have seen this movie. I loved watching this movie and wished that could see it again.
I am surprised that USA Network does not show those movies anymore that they helped make. Well this came to mind as well I have to remember that the people who made those movie at the time when it first came out in 1990 no longer own the rights I bet to show the movie.
The people who own the rights now are Universal and NBC now since they bought out USA Network.

I know what you mean about USA Network stopped showing good movies late at night and if they do show any movies then they are the same movies that they show over and over again.
Like I stated USA Network is now owned by NBC which USA Network is now a sister station to NBC. That is why we see so much of Law&Order marathons almost everyday now. In my honest opinion I think they try to cram Law&Order down our throats with their marathons.
USA Network only wants to show now mainstream quality shows now. They no longer want to show the movies or TV shows that they once did 10 or 15 years ago. I feel that the quality of entertainment has definately gone down ever since NBC took over USA Network.

I know what you mean but what I do not see is why can't USA Network show Law&Order marathons during the day on a Friday until 10:00 or 11:00 at night and then go to USA UP ALL NIGHT?
Even do this on a Saturday night as well. I loved the kind of movies that were shown on USA UP ALL NIGHT and that is why I felt that they should have kept it instead of showing all of this Law&Order,MONK, and Psych as well.

I know what you mean about that! I mean I can remember when I would go to church on a Sunday and then come home from church and watch movies in the afternoon and then they would mix it up with some TV shows that they put into syndication USA Network decided to show on their network.
Those days I loved because they would show some very good movies too! It was a little of everything really. The showed some B movies, horror movies, movies that were made by USA Network.
I would love to see that kind of programming back on the USA Network again!

also they were basically laughing about how he gave her the abortion -- i think that is what made him want revenge even more - he was more heartbroken over the abortion than the *beep* trying to kill him; he snapped that was it. both got what was coming to them as well...

Now, I'm pro-choice, so the issue isn't that she got an abortion, but that she lied to Clint (she could have said that she didn't want children rather than the attempts to get her pregnant weren't working). But speaking of killing the child, Clint asks if it was a boy or a girl, which is stupid: if it progresses from the point of being a clump of cells to a being with a sex, then it's no longer legal (and Clint would have surely known she was pregnant by that stage).
listen you *beep* whose likes to bring up a women's right to choose what goes on with her own body out of some craptacular B movie from Universal ... Do you really deem it appropriate to suggest the abortion to be the most heart breaking part and not the fact that a husband murdered his wife.
