I've always wondered if the actress who plays Adult Gina Gabooch and opens the door in the last scene of the movie is supposed to be the same actress who plays the teenage character in the movie (Tricia Leigh Fisher). There is no reference in the cast summary to an Adult Gina Gabooch but it doesn't seem like the same girl. Anyone know?
shareYeah, it's definitely the same actress, Tricia Fisher. She looks a little older, of course and I think they even added in some crow's feet there but it's the same actress. What a great non-cliche ending. Great movie.

Yep, it is Tricia Leigh Fisher in the end. They "aged" her a bit, but it is her. I loved that ending as well - very satisfying and a great way to end the film. It is one of the parts of the movie that I remembered most.
The one thing I can't quite figure out though is why Jack didn't just stay with Gina after the prom? I know that he liked Lily, but it was obvious that he was better of with Gina.
"Book of Love" is one of the best "not well known" teenage movies of the last 25 years, although it could have been a little longer - maybe showing him taking Gina home at least, but still a great movie.
Yes a not so well known movie, but belongs in the catagory with the 80's movies. A great movie I can watch over and over. I cant believe it has been 20 years now for this movie same and more for the greatest movies ever... the 80's.
