Favorite scene??

My favorite has always been the scene where jack is trying to impress lilly by pretending like hes working on spiders car. When his shirt gets ripped off by the fan and only his sleeves are still on. Even knowing his shirt is gone he keeps trying to pull his sleeves up to his shoulder. That scene, and when spider is dancing all drunk at the party and puts his head through the wall.

"I think she's gonna remember that number for a long time to come. Guy rolls down 25 stairs, comes up dancing'? Hey, tell me about it."

I love the scene at the Ranger camp. Poor Shanks played by cute Brian Evans chained naked to the bed with a candle up his butt. So hilarious! Those bullies are so awful. "Happy birthday Shanks." Then the boys try to rescue him by taking him tied to the bed out in the woods, but they have to light the candle to see. The look on his face is priceless

I wonder if this really happened to William Kotzwinkle. Does anyone know if it is in the book?

I always loved the part where jack is dancing on the table at the party and he jumps off and hangs onto the curtain rod, then it breaks. cracks me up every time.

That is totally my favorite scene. I pee myself laughing every time I see it.

My favourite scene is when he gets his shirt torn off, haha.
and I also like the candle scene, when they need light to see where they were going, haha.
This movie was good.

A rumble ain't a rumble without Dallas Winston.

Yes it was a great movie and it has been a long time since I have seen it! I mean a lot of these parts reminded me of the movie. I use to watch this on the USA Network back before when NBC bought the network out and changed the programming.

Dedicated to USA UP ALL NIGHT and the fans of the show! http://deefilmroll.com/usa-uan/

Ten years later, here's a reply in case anyone is still curious. The scene is in the book, but like with just about everything in the book the tone is darker than the movie. The scout camp sequence occurs in Twiller's early adolescence and the bullies (who are actually older scouts, not Angelo and co. like in the movie) are forcing the younger campers to perform oral sex on them through cellophane. The candle in the ass scene is pretty much the same, but they don't use it to light their path on their escape.

Kotzwinkle's 1971 story collection Elephant Bangs Train also has a Twiller story set at scout camp, "The Bird Watcher," that isn't represented in the book or movie.

I've got a few but this one comes to mind.

Jack: Crutch, the weirdest thing just happened to me. This, this girl offered me hot sex for a dollar.
Crutch: Sh*t, why didn't you come and get me!?
Jack Twiller- Crutch, she was just like, nine years old.
Crutch: So what? My cocker spaniel's only five.

The ending when Jack goes to Gina's house and sees her again after like 30 years is still the best scene in the movie IMO.

The "funniest" scene(s) though has to be either "Shank's birthday" or Jack hanging on the curtain rod - both very funny.

Definitely when Jack gets his shirt ripped off dicking around under Spider's hood.

Also when he and Lily are walking along and the Charles Atlas guy comes into his head, asking him if he's going to sit around while guys shove candles up his ass.

The scene where spider was jacking off during class!Because you kind feel sorry for the guy who has to take the jizz filled notebook to his next class if you remember the scene!

reply

I love the scene where he's channelling James Dean at Lily's house and leaves a massive gel mark on the pristine white wall. His reaction is spot on!

My favorite 2 scenes:

1.The scene where Gina holds the flashlight in the car, with two headlights heading towards them....only to be 2 motorcycles...

2. The scene at the very end of the movie....such a perfect ending!
