The ONLY good thing about this movie.....

is seeing Ron Silver get wasted. Possibly THE WORST ACTOR of all time. I waited over an hour and a half just to see him get hit by a car then shot. Should have been in the head. Or better yet, she should have let him live and seen him go to prison to get anally raped. TERRIBLE MOVIE!!!! If it hadn't been on Encore and I had seen this in the theater, I would have asked for my money back.

I've always liked this movie

He's actually pretty cool.

ron silver is a soild actor---rhoda, time cop-----good bad guy

reply

I think so too!

reply

Ron Silver is the poor man's modern day Al Pacino (HUH?), but he's still one of the cooler actors around. Overreact much?

reply

Ron Silver is a forgotten actor that was good in his time.

reply

Silver can play the most hatable charactor of all time,he can play parts that you just loathe so well.Hes a great actor and plays awesome heavies and greedy lawyers

I liked this movie, i almost bought it today at Hart for $5 (Which is a low-rent "Wal-Mart). But i passed it up, when i see To Live and Die in L.A., Hannibal:Special Edition and John Carpenter's The Fog for sale for $8 each. I will probably get it next time.

I thought Ron Silver was excellent as the cunning and charming Eugene Hunt; he made for a very effective and memorable crazy bad guy.

I liked Ron Silver's acting, but I love this movie because Clancy Brown is in it... naked!!!

I thought it was having Harley Flanagan from the Cro-Mags do a bit myself. Only reason I ever saw it........

Seeing Clancy Brown in his prime (dammit, he looked good) is basically the only thing that got me through this crapfest. JLC just couldn't sell this role and the fact that nobody in Homicide thought to look at her brand new way-too-intense love interest in connection with the corpses that started showing up the same day he did was just sad. If he hadn't given himself away, I shudder to think what the second half of the movie would have been like.

Ron Silver is the best thing about this movie.

reply

no he isn't! he was in pet semetary right?why do you think he's a crap actor?

reply

"no he isn't! he was in pet semetary right?"

Wrong. You're thinking of Clancy Brown, who was in Pet Sematary 2.

I thought the best thing about this movie was seeing Jaime Lee Curtis' bare arse for one brief shot while she leaps out of bed.

reply

j.l. curtis is the only reason i watched this film a 2nd time (after a few years). i remember it being better the first time i saw it.
ron silver chews the scenery hilariously throughout. (l.o.l.)

I thought he overacted a bit, but made a decent bad guy. Jamie Lee Curtis is usually a bad actress in my opinion, and the most convincing moment she had was when she was sitting in the police car at the end.

The best thing about this film was the music played during the credits. It was frightening actually.

Silver was excellent in Reversal of Fortune, and manages to get out-creeped by Jeremy Irons. Terrific stage actor, too, having been in David Mamet's Speed the Plow with Joe Mantegna and (yipes!) Madonna.

reply

It's also excellently, beautifully shot and lit. It has atmosphere.

This was a start of Silver movies where he played bad guys and hopefully find an audience of more than 10 people outside a art house theatre.

Its that man again!!
