I worked at a theatre when this film came out...

It was a dollar cinema. We had a guy come in and watch this movie every night for the entire run of it, probably 30-50 times. I couldn't stand to sit through it once.

Whoa. That is creepy. I wanted my money back after one viewing. To put $30 to $50 in this movie's coffers is just chilling.

is it still playing?i'd like to see it again for the 30th time!

reply

There's nothing wrong with this movie, I wouldn't mind seeing it on the big screen for once.

reply

Exactly.

Have you seen any modern movie? We have actors and actresses who are the very definition of cardboard. Look at Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis in Jupiter Ascending. When we look back at actors like Mel, it's hard not to have a new found appreciation for what they did.

reply

i agree. i think it's a very entertaining film, and Mel and Goldie are both great in it. the only bit i don't like is where the other woman says she'd consider ditching her fiancee for Mel - I felt sorry for the fiancee, marrying a woman who is hankering after someone else.

Fun action/comedy 7/10, rewatchable... maybe the guy simply had a crush on Goldie Hawn and wanted to watch her ass on a 50 foot screen every single day.

reply

Well, for me Joan Severance's character was fun to look at. Otherwise, I think this film is basic, nothing to share with the family (unless you don't like your family).
