man in pub

Hi folks,
I remember having watched an "Earthquake movie" quite some time ago; and there were several scenes filmed at a bar. That house didn't collaps - though much glass, bottles, and other stuff went to pieces and much dust came down from the ceiling. Now when it all started there was a man sitting in that bar, alone at his table, and he was still there in quite another scene at the same location, towards the movie's end. It turns out that he had fallen asleep, in the meantime, and didn't even notice that something terrible had happened. So when he wakes up again he mutters - now really drunken - "Heeey! Isssnn't heea annnybody to fffetch mee annnotha drink, or whatissthiss??" (Or something like that :-)...
I wonder whether that scene was in the present movie, or rather in the other one, from 1974??
