not sure if its still gonna be around much longer
(since they only just released it on dvd last year)

but personally i liked this the best of the 3, its very different than the first movie though. theres a lot of very fun things happening in this movie, plus theres like a ton of freaks, who doesnt like that?

yeah, i dont know, i liked the first one but thought part 2 lacked the same punch, the basket case looked considerably faker and the dude who played duane looked really weird to me too for some reason, although you still might want to watch it for the sex scene with 2 basket cases, pretty gross overall but i did laugh and i think it's safe to say i'll never forget it

The 2nd one is funnier than the 1st, plus you get a lot of original freaks.
You just don't get this type of creativity in today's monster flicks.

The first film was more than a little rough around the edges and it screamed '70s b-movie -- the acting was generally bad, the camera was shaky, the effects were terrible... but that's all part of the appeal.

After the original, writer-director Henenlotter made BRAIN DAMAGE, and the influence of that film carried over to the BASKET CASE sequel. The second film retains Henenlotter's completely off-kilter sense of humor and includes lots of equally quirky characters, but it's got a surreal cinematic quality to it, decent '80s b-movie special effects and a lot of actors who can actually, you know, act. It's one of those rare films that both works as a sequel and can stand alone on its own merits. The third film goes off the deep end a bit... I was sucked in by the original, but I'm not ashamed to admit that I've come to love the first sequel more.

I haven't seen the first film but I laughed my ass off at how INSANE this film really is. I was in tears near the end because it's just totally unbelievable! 3 kinda went too far with the dominatrix type woman. It's kinda worth maybe the price of a rental or less. More than that then no way.

What are you talking about? I've rarely seen such a bad display of "acting". Worst acting goes to Duanne and the hot freak girl. I've seen far better acting in bad pornos.

If you like horror, this movie is for you. Lots of freaks and bloody slaughters. A couple of scenes gave me the chills...

Everything are great beside the kills that are so so .Since one of the biggest appeal for me in horror movie are those , i felt a little disappointed at they end .

If you liked the first i m sure you ll appreciate that one for sure , the kills are pretty much the same if you re wondering( lots of grabbing and scratching ) .

Pretty you already saw it but other might wonder the same thing .

First of all, I thought the first one was amazing.

But sheesh. Basket Case 2 was completely over the top. I didnt think that was possible compared to Basket Case 1.

Although not "quite" as good as the first one overall (some parts better, some parts not so much), it was still great. I am watching Basket Case 3 next.
