the dancing scene

The scene when Robin Williams was with the patients in that dance club, the old lady was coming on to him singing "you made me love you" He sure was uncomfortable in that scene, lol!

Also it could have something to do with the real doctor Robin Williams was portraying. In an autobiography, that real life doctor admitted to being a very shy person which could result in feeling uncomfortable around people.

That's because Oliver Sacks (the real life doctor) has a problem recognising faces, which strains any social interaction with people he's unfamiliar with.

And shyness to it, and you get an almost total hermit.

Added to which the real Sacks was gay, so of course he's not going to be comfortable dancing with a woman!

That scene made no sense. First off, where'd the patients all suddenly get their 1920s flapper clothes? And second, how would they be able to dance like that after being bedridden all those years? Your muscles can't just go from 0 to 100 like that.

True.
Even remembering entire lyrics of songs is a stretch.
