Just saw Awakenings tonight and loved it. I noticed all the similarities between it and One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest. Both are great movies, which do you prefer ?
I gotta go with Awakenings. Not only because De Niro is my favorite actor, but I could watch Robin Williams movies all day. I thought they both did a great job in this one.
How are these movies similar?

shareTwo different subjects...not similar much at all. One has DEniro and the other has DEvito...that's the closest they come to a similarity.

Also both based on a book but ye, I don't see much similarities. Might say Girl, interrupted is similar as well, and even AHS season 2.
shareSame here, I don't see the similarities. Except the the fact they are both institutions. One place involved helping the unhealthy, and one institution about destroying the human spirit. As for which I prefer? Hands down...The Nest! My favorite film of all time! Awakenings, although I enjoyed, especially Williams performance, doesn't make my top 25.
