Ironically Veronica is the most complex character in the comics...

Why do I say this?
Look at the facts.
All the other characters don't stray too far from their basic presentation.
Archie; the good-natured womaniser who can't win in many things.
Jughead; The dopey seeming yet surprisingly clever sidekick-unromantic glutton.
Reggie; the bad-natured womaniser who thankfully seldom gets the better of Arch.
Betty; The nice girl who is strong-willed in every way except with Archie.

But Veronica's character goes to greater extremes, depending on what is needed for the story.

In one episode, she's an underhanded, stuck up, manipulative, spoiled, rich-witch who thinks she should be in charge because of her status. Then in another episode she's the nice magnanimous high-society girl who doesn't care if she's rich, she just wants to have real friends.
