What kind of bar exactly was that?

The barmaid gave me the impression that it was a biker bar. The hillbillies made me think it waqs a country/western joint but the poor man's Rick James on stage made me think it was a place that Afro-Americans may generaly frequent.

I love it when he pounds him-Terry Silver

Just another example of what a complete mess this movie is. I'm not saying I hate it or anything, but it feels really throw together compared to the first one

That band was ridiculous.

It was a poor attempt to recapture the magic of the bar scene from the original. In the first 48 Hrs. Murphy storms into a bar full of prejudiced rednecks and it's funny how he gets them to cower before him. Here, the bar has some country types, but it's got minorities including a band with a black singer, so the whole out of place aspect is lost.

An unbelievably unique one, I guess?

You want something corny? You got it!

If you've ever lived in California, you'd be surprised how many "mixed bars" like the one in this movie there are.

There used to be a popular bar in Venice, that had cowboys, skinheads, gang bangers, punkers, and yuppies in it. And everybody got along and had a good time(imagine that).
