How is it ridiculous? A bigger budget ona movie makes it look better and this is defiitely the case with this sequel. The music is great at the start , the action is good, the story is ok, the comedy is fine whats not to like ?? the original now looks dated, underbudgeted and frankly not as funny as people say

Agreed, I've always preferred it.
shareI preferred the original overall, however the ending of the sequel where everything comes together and is revealed from that plot was a lot better.
