Ford Fairlane 2

Will there be one?

Do you want one?

reply

There will never be one, that's for sure. Even though nowadays this is somewhat a cult favorite, it wasn't a hit 23 years ago. I'm not so sure if I even want one, even though I enjoyed this.

However, if Andrew Dice Clay isn't available, I have an interesting idea for a sequel. Ford Fairlane 2 starring...Vin Diesel. Stamp a toupee in his head and a cigarette in his mouth and he's good to go.

What do you think, doesn't he look and even sound the same?

reply

Dice is available and has been talking about it lately... doing a part 2.

It could be low budget, but still great...

Well, to be honest, the only sequel I want to see to this, is if it was done by the original production team, and not some low budget one were dice wrote the script..
To me FF is still one of the best comedies ever, but it certainly was a product of it's time, and I have not much confidence in a second being just as great. but then again, "One nights at mccool's" was also pretty cool..

I would love to see a sequal but it will never happen. This is the only movie I know of that had its preview banned for being obsence.

It's a bit of a pipe dream.. BUT.. Shane Black scripting with Harlin back directing...

The cry baby liberals would go crazy over any jokes about women and the studios don't want to fight these special interest groups.

How can there be one in the era of EDM? There's no rock any more and even rap went pop long time ago. If you want to see what a movie about a music fixer today would look like, try Travolta's crappy Be Cool (2005) and, after seeing it, be thankful that one's tried anything like that ever since. Also, the movie's aren't being made like this anymore, the humor has shifted and the star of a project like this today would be at best Andy Samberg or some other SNL personality.
