Is this the movie I'm looking for?

Hi! I'm looking for a movi I saw as a kid, I didn't catch all of it, and I never finished it, because I was scared of it (to my denfense, I was like 7 or so...). I remember a man standing in the middle of a crosswalk in a city, and he get's stuck in a time loop, and no matter what he does (i remember he shot himself once), he ends up in that same spot... I never caught the ending, and it bothers me now, since I didn't dare to see it through as a kid... I just remembered it today as I watched an episode of Supernatural where Sam gets caught in a time-loop... Can anybody tall me if this is the movie I'm looking for?
