Anyone read the Lupoff short story it's based on?

Looks like I'm going to have to find the original story by Lupoff ILL via the library. Seems the book is OOP that has it "Before...12:01...and After" Some used copies around but a bit pricey.

There's another that looks interesting: "The Book Of Time: The Time Machine, Nebogipfel at the End of Time, The Grey Man, The Chronic Argonauts, 12:01 P.M., 12:02 P.M." It has some HG Wells shorts as well as Lupoff.

the original Lupoff story is rather good. its two sequels not so much

I'm dying to read the sequels. They're on the Amazon Kindle store for about 7.50 each, as part of the magazine they were originally published in.
