Zorro and the WWF/WWE & Zorro meets Grizzly Adams?

I'm in the process of rewatching this series of Zorro, after having watched it on the Family Channel during its original run in the early 1990s & again in 2007 when someone had the episodes uploaded to youtube under the title 'Pueblo de Los Angeles.' Anyway, as I watch it now, I'm surprised to see how at least three former WWF/WWE professional wrestlers, Roddy Piper (who appeared in two different roles in the series), Andre the Giant, and Jesse Ventura, so far. I wonder if there was a connection...or if the Zorro series was just a popular place for these wrestlers-turned-wannabe-actors' to try out their acting skills at the time?

As well too, in one of the episodes in which Roddy Piper appeared, he placed a character named 'Will Adams', who had a bounty on his head was traveling north to Oregon with his wife & son 'Jack'. Other than the last name, young 'Jack's' comments about moving to Oregon, living in the wilderness, and 'finding/raising a grizzly bear cub', plus his connection to his family's wolf/dog Lobo, makes me wonder if young Jack was supposed to be James Capen Adams aka 'Grizzly Adams' as a boy? lol  (The timing would've been about right too...from being a prepubescent boy in the 1820s, to being a man in the 1850s or so (Grizzly Adams' timeline.))
