I'm in love with Diana!!

I know this may the unexpected, but I think Diana is just so sexy -- regardless of her age -- in fact, probably because of it! I find her maturity and confidence a real turn on! Not only that, but her sense of style is so classy and not at all frumpy -- you know, the sort of bland clothing that older women fall victim to a lot of times -- with the short hair so they don't have to worry about fixing it up... and it just looks... well... old. But not Diana! She looks old and beautiful -- beautiful and old -- she makes old look beautiful! And, whenever she's sweet to Tom or shows love, care or concern for him (in her own way), suddenly I feel so turned on!!! I mean, I want her! I'll admit it, I love them both -- Tom and Diana! But, I want to be Tom, and I want her!

When I see her, I think nothing is more beautiful! And I'm not kidding!! I love her sense of style (the way she dresses), her hairstyle, and the way she does not load her face with makeup (at least not on the show). And I realized that Stephanie Cole was not really old -- but please understand that this post is for the character, Diana Trent, and not meant as a fan letter to Stephanie Cole, although I am appreciative of Stephanie Cole for taking on the role of Diana Trent, as probably no one else could do it as well as she did. But, I digress. I love Diana Trent! I am in love! If only all older women -- or all women for that matter -- had as much style, and sophistication as Diana does, I wouldn't be able to close my eyes for a minute! And the world would be a more beautiful place! <3

I think I understand what you mean, IamThe.
Diana Trent always remains young INSIDE, despite her years. As a retired journalist, she is inquisitive, critical and eager for intellectual excitement. She is still the intrepid magazine photographer she was in her 30s and 40s – at least, that's how she views herself ... and that's perfectly OK.
Tom, too, remains young inside, but in the way a boy of 10 or 12 experienced the 1940s, viewing life as fantasy, creating a movie world for himself.
Together, Tom and Diana are a well-matched couple, enjoying each other's company as youngsters in aged bodies, living in a hostel for the elderly where they clearly don't fit.
I think I understand what you mean because my late wife – a retired journalist with great joie de vivre – was very much like Diana.

Diana Trent certainly is a gem. I was surprise to find that Stephanie Cole was only about 48 when Waiting For God first aired. 48 isn't a "spring chicken" but it's not elderly.
